# Update On Call Schedule Settings

`PATCH /on-call-schedule/settings`

Update the default on-call user. Pass default_user_id: null to clear it.

## Request body

- UpdateOnCallScheduleSettingsRequest
  - `default_user_id` string, uuid, nullable — Fallback on-call user; pass null explicitly to clear

## Response `200`

- OnCallScheduleResponse
  - `assignments` OnCallAssignmentResponse[], required — Explicit per-date assignments in the requested range
    - `assignment_date` string, date, required — Date this assignment applies to (in the firm's timezone)
    - `user_id` string, uuid, required — User on call for this date
  - `default_user_id` string, uuid, nullable — Fallback on-call user for dates with no explicit assignment
  - `hours` OnCallScheduleHoursResponse[], required — Per-weekday on-call windows; empty list means on-call 24/7
    - `weekday` integer, required — Weekday, 0=Monday .. 6=Sunday
    - `enabled` boolean, required — Whether there is an on-call window on this weekday
    - `start_time` string, time, required — Window start (firm timezone)
    - `end_time` string, time, required — Window end; end <= start means the window crosses midnight into the next day
