# Move file to another folder

`POST /api/users/files/{id}/move`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://localhost:8080`
- URL: `https://localhost:8080/api/users/files/{id}/move`
- Auth: `bearer` (a scheme the document does not define)

Moves the file — every version of it — into another of the caller's folders. Connector-synced folders are not valid on either end.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- MoveFileDto
  - `folderId` string, required: Destination folder id (must be one of the caller's own, non-connector folders)

## Response `200`

movedId and the folder it now lives in

## Other responses

- `400`: Source or destination folder syncs from a connector
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: File or destination folder not found
- `409`: Destination already holds a file of that name
