# Historical weather measurements for a date and location

## Request

Returns historical weather measurements from the nearest Dutch weather station for the specified date and coordinates. Data sources are the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI): measurements 1701–1905 and 1901–2014. Note: this endpoint exposes several types of historical datasets, so measurement types and units can vary between records.

## Query parameters

## Response `200`

Array of weather measurement objects. Each object represents one measurement set from the nearest station. Fields have a `value` and optionally a `decoded` or `label` sub-field.

  - `STN` object
    - `value` string: Weather station number.
  - `STN_PLACE` object
    - `value` string: Name of the weather station location.

    - `value` string, uri: URL with more information about the weather station.
    - `label` string
  - `STN_LOC` object
    - `longitude` number
    - `latitude` number
  - `M` object
    - `value` string: Measurement index within the day.
  - `WW` object
    - `value` string: Weather code.
    - `decoded` string: Human-readable weather description.
  - `T` object
    - `value` number: Temperature measurement.
  - `P` object
    - `value` string: Air pressure measurement.
  - `DD` object
    - `value` string: Wind direction code.
  - `FH` object
    - `value` string: Wind speed measurement.
  - `rijnland` integer: Rijnland indicator flag.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid or missing parameters
- `429`: Too Many Requests — rate limit of 4 requests per second per IP exceeded.
