# Delete organization role

`DELETE /organization/roles/{role_id}`

Deletes a custom role from the organization.

## Path parameters

- `role_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Role deleted successfully.

- RoleDeletedResource — Confirmation payload returned after deleting a role.
  - `object` 'role.deleted', required — Always `role.deleted`.
  - `id` string, required — Identifier of the deleted role.
  - `deleted` boolean, required — Whether the role was deleted.

## Other responses

- `400` — The request parameters are invalid or the requested operation cannot be performed.
- `403` — The caller does not have permission to perform this operation.
- `404` — The endpoint is unavailable or a requested resource was not found in this organization or project.
- `429` — The request was rejected because a rate limit was exceeded.
