# Cancel/Delete a mandate

`DELETE /v2/mandates/{resourceId}`

## Request

  - Client credentials
  - Token URL: `https://api.open-finance.ai/oauth/token` scopes: `delete:mandates`

Deletes a given mandate. If the mandate requires PSU authorization for cancellation, a 202 response will be returned with SCA links

- `resourceId` string, uuid, required

## Response `202`

PSU authorization required for cancellation

- DeleteMandateResponse
  - `mandateStatus` 'received' | 'valid' | 'partiallyAuthorised' | 'rejected' | 'revokedByPSU' | 'expired' | 'terminatedByTPP' | 'suspended': The status of the mandate resource
  - `_links` object: Hyperlinks for SCA authorization
    - `scaOAuth` object
      - `href` string: URI where the configuration of the Authorisation Server can be retrieved (OAuth 2.0 Authorisation Server Metadata)

## Other responses

- `204`: Mandate cancelled successfully
- `400`: Validation Error
- `401`: Unauthorized, token is missing
- `403`: Forbidden, token has no valid scopes
- `404`: Not Found, Mandate with this resourceId not found
- `405`: Method Not Allowed - Mandate cannot be cancelled (already rejected or expired)
- `500`: Internal Server Error
