# Update your buyer profile

`PATCH /buyer-account`

## Request

Change your profile, webhook address or the `filter_rules` of a filtered licence. Your contact email can't be changed.

## Request body

  - `name` string
  - `organization` string
  - `first_name` string
  - `last_name` string
  - `company_name` string
  - `company_website` string, uri
  - `buyer_type` 'ai_training' | 'ai_retrieval' | 'editorial_republish' | 'research_academic' | 'other'
  - `country_of_incorporation` string: Two-letter country code (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2)
  - `public_attribution_consent` boolean
  - `webhook_url` string, uri: Where to send buyer notices (`https://`, up to 500 characters). `null` removes it.
  - `regenerate_webhook_secret` boolean: `true` issues a new webhook secret, shown once as `webhook_secret_one_time`.
  - `filter_rules` object: Change the rules of your filtered licence. At least one rule is required. 404 if you have no filtered licence.
    - `categories` string[]: Max 50 entries, max 100 chars each.
    - `license_types` string[]
    - `max_price_per_event` number
    - `excluded_publisher_ids` string[]: Max 5000 entries.
    - `per_publisher_monthly_cap` number
    - `global_monthly_cap` number

## Response `200`

Updated buyer profile + optional `filtered_subscription` field when filter_rules were updated

## Other responses

- `400`: No updatable fields supplied, empty name, or invalid filter_rules shape
- `401`: Missing or invalid JWT
- `404`: No buyer account yet, or `filter_rules` sent without a filtered licence.
