# Get app visibility

`GET /apps/{app_id}/visibility`

## Request

Returns the visibility of this app.

## Path parameters

- `app_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

The visibility info of this app.

- AppVisibilityInfo: Visibility information for an app. Mirrors `VisibilityInfo` but adds the App-specific `import_visibility`, which governs the default visibility of items imported from the app.
  - `visibility` 'GLOBAL' | 'LIMITED', required: The visibility level of the entity.
  - `visibility_group_ids` string[]: The IDs of groups that can see this app when visibility is `LIMITED`. Must be empty when visibility is `GLOBAL`.
  - `import_visibility` 'GLOBAL' | 'LIMITED': The visibility level of the entity.

## Other responses

- `400`: This endpoint only supports apps whose type is managed via `POST /v1/apps` and `PATCH /v1/apps/{id}` (`CUSTOM`, `OPAL_*`, and similar). Discovery-sourced app types (for example `AWS_SSO`) are rejected with 400.
- `403`: The caller is not authorized to view this app's visibility.
- `404`: The app was not found.
