# Synchronously export a Part Studio to an STL file.

`GET /partstudios/d/{did}/{wvm}/{wvmid}/e/{eid}/stl`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.onshape.com/api/v17`
- URL: `https://api.onshape.com/api/v17/partstudios/d/{did}/{wvm}/{wvmid}/e/{eid}/stl`
- Auth: OAuth 2 and HTTP basic
  - Authorization code: `/oauth/authorize`
  - Token URL: `/oauth/token` scopes: `OAuth2Read`

Creates a synchronous export of the Part Studio (with limited tessellation settings) to an STL file. 
* Returns a 307 redirect from which to download the exported file. 
* Export is much faster than asynchronous endpoints at the expense of limited control on tessellation settings. 
* Use the [PartStudio/createPartStudioTranslation](#/PartStudio/createPartStudioTranslation) asynchronous export for greater control.
