# Preview creating a list from a CSV / Excel file

`POST /workspace/tables/import/preview`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.onplana.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.onplana.com/api/workspace/tables/import/preview`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Same preview as the into-an-existing-list route, with no columns to match against, so every header becomes a new column whose type is inferred from the values. Writes nothing. multipart/form-data with `file`, exactly one of `projectId` / `proposalId` / `scope=org`, and an optional `mapping` JSON field. Also returns `suggestedName`, taken from the file name. Gated like creating a list: membership of the scope plus the content-write permission; JWT only (the workspace router denies PATs).

## Response `200`

Preview: sheet shape, mapping, plan, quota and a suggested list name

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Unauthorized - missing or invalid JWT
- `403`: Forbidden - insufficient role
