# Preview taking parent task dates from their subtasks, writing nothing

`GET /scheduling/projects/{id}/parent-dates/preview`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.onplana.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.onplana.com/api/scheduling/projects/{id}/parent-dates/preview`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

What switching the project's default for parent dates on would do: how many tasks with subtasks would take their start and due dates from them (a task set to manual keeps its own), which would move and to what (YYYY-MM-DD), and which carry a constraint of their own that would stop applying. `enabled` is the server switch parent_date_rollup_enabled; the preview answers either way. Needs the same access as Recalculate.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Headers

- `X-Organization-Id` string, required

## Response `200`

`{ enabled, parentDatesFromSubtasks, automaticParents, wouldMove, moves, constraintsIgnored }`
