# Add Threat to Risk

`POST /api/risk/v2/risks/{riskId}/threats`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://hostname`
- URL: `https://hostname/api/risk/v2/risks/{riskId}/threats`
- Auth: OAuth 2
  - Client credentials
  - Token URL: `https://{hostname}/api/access/v1/oauth/token` scopes: `INTEGRATION`, `ITRM`

Use this API to add or replace a threat on a risk.
> 🗒 Things to Know
> 
> - If a threat was previously assigned to the risk, that threat will be replaced with the new specified threat after calling this API.

## Path parameters

- `riskId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- TechRiskComplianceRiskRiskThreatAddRequest
  - `threatId` string, uuid: Unique identifier of the threat to be added. If null, any existing threat will be removed from the risk.

## Response `201`

Threat added or replaced successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden

- `500`: Internal Server Error
