# Create Threat

`POST /api/controls/v1/threats`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://hostname`
- URL: `https://hostname/api/controls/v1/threats`
- Auth: OAuth 2
  - Client credentials
  - Token URL: `https://{hostname}/api/access/v1/oauth/token` scopes: `ITRM`

Use this API to create a new threat in the Threat Library.

## Request body

- TechRiskComplianceITRiskManagementThreatCreateRequestDto
  - `orgGroupId` string, uuid, required: Organization Group Identifier of Threat.
  - `identifier` string, required: String Identifier of Threat.
  - `name` string, required: Threat Name.
  - `description` string: Description of the Threat.
  - `framework` TechRiskComplianceITRiskManagementFrameworkInformation
    - `id` string, uuid: Primary Identifier.
    - `name` string: Framework Name of Control.
    - `nameKey` string: Framework Name key for Translation.
  - `category` TechRiskComplianceITRiskManagementCategoryInformation
    - `id` string, uuid: Category unique identifier
    - `name` string: Category name
    - `nameKey` string: Category nameKey for localization support
  - `status` 'Active' | 'Pending' | 'Archived': Threat Status.
  - `attributes` object: Custom attributes associated with this threat, organized as a map of attribute names to their values.

Created

  - `id` string, uuid, required: Primary identifier of the created or updated entity, typically a UUID.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
