# Create Issue Relationship

`POST /v1/issuelink/issue/{issueId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://hostname/api/issue-management`
- URL: `https://hostname/api/issue-management/v1/issuelink/issue/{issueId}`

  - Client credentials
  - Token URL: `https://{hostname}/api/access/v1/oauth/token` scopes: `ISSUE`

Use this API to create a relationship between an issue and related records.

## Path parameters

- `issueId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- CreateIssueLinkRequest
  - `linkTypeLabel` 'is related to', required: The label of the relationship.
  - `relatedEntityType` 'Control' | 'Evidence' | 'Initiative' | 'Issue' | 'Risk' | 'assessment' | 'assets' | 'entities' | 'policies' | 'procedures' | 'processing-activities' | 'standards' | 'vendors', required: The entity type of the related record.
  - `relatedEntityId` string, uuid, required: The unique identifier of the related record.

## Response `201`

Successfully linked the Issue to the provided entity.

  - `linkId` string, uuid, required: The unique identifier of the relationship link.
  - `linkType` string, required: The type of relationship between the related records.
  - `entity1` EntityDetails, required
    - `id` string, uuid, required: The unique identifier of the related record.
    - `name` string, required: The name of the related record.
  - `entity2` EntityDetails, required
    - `id` string, uuid, required: The unique identifier of the related record.
    - `name` string, required: The name of the related record.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
