# Create Assessment Comment

`POST /api/assessment/v3/assessments/comments`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://hostname`
- URL: `https://hostname/api/assessment/v3/assessments/comments`
- Auth: OAuth 2
  - Client credentials
  - Token URL: `https://{hostname}/api/access/v1/oauth/token` scopes: `ASSESSMENT`

Use this API to create a new comment on an assessment question.

## Request body

- PrivacyAutomationAssessmentAutomationCommentInformation
  - `comment` string, required: The comment text to associate with the question
  - `assessmentId` string, uuid, required: Identifier of the assessment the comment belongs to
  - `sectionId` string, uuid, required: Identifier of the section containing the question being commented on
  - `questionId` string, uuid, required: Identifier of the question the comment applies to

## Response `201`

Created

- `400`: Bad Request — validation error in request payload
- `401`: Unauthorized — missing or invalid authentication
- `403`: Forbidden — insufficient permissions or scope
- `404`: Not Found — assessment, section, or question does not exist
