# Modify User Default Organization

`PATCH /api/access/v2/users/{userId}/default-organization`

Use this API to modify the default organization for a specific user. The user must have at least one role in the specified organization.

## Path parameters

- `userId` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `organizationId` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Default organization updated successfully

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid request – User does not have access to the specified organization
- `401` — Unauthorized - Invalid or missing authentication
- `403` — Forbidden - Insufficient permissions

- `500` — Internal Server Error
