# Scan Application

`PUT /api/cmp/v1/application/{id}/scan`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://hostname`
- URL: `https://hostname/api/cmp/v1/application/{id}/scan`

  - Client credentials
  - Token URL: `https://{hostname}/api/access/v1/oauth/token` scopes: `COOKIE`

Use this API to initiate an application scan with a file upload.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Request body `multipart/form-data`

- object
  - `file` string, required: File to upload as part of the scan request. Maximum size: 500 MB.

## Response `201`

Created

- ApplicationScanResponsePublicDto
  - `scanId` string, uuid: Identifier of the created Application Scan

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
