# Categorize Cookies by Domain

`POST /v2/categorize`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://customer.my.onetrust.com/api/cookiemanager`
- URL: `https://customer.my.onetrust.com/api/cookiemanager/v2/categorize`
- Auth: OAuth 2
  - Client credentials
  - Token URL: `https://{$$.env.host}/api/access/v1/oauth/token`

Use this API to categorize cookies by cookie name and host for the specified domain. The response will return details for each cookie such as pattern (First-Party or Third-Party) and category (Functional, Strictly Necessary, Targeting, Social Media, or Performance)

## Request body

- object
  - `domain` string: Name of the domain.
  - `cookies` object[]: A list of Cookies with name and host.
    - `name` string
    - `host` string

## Response `200`

  - `name` string: Name of the cookie.
  - `type` string: Type of the cookie.
  - `host` string: Host of the cookie.
  - `hostDescription` string: Description of the cookie host.
  - `description` string: Description of the cookie category.
  - `firstPartyDescription` string: Description of the first party cookie catogory.
  - `thirdPartyDescription` string: Description of the third party cookie catogory.
  - `patternKey` string: Cookie caterory pattern key.
  - `thirdPartyKey` string: Third party key of categorized cookie.
  - `firstPartyKey` string: First party key of categorized cookie.
  - `category` string: Category of the cookie.

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
