# Get SIWE Address Book Challenge

`POST /v1/auth/erc-4361/address_book/get_challenge`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ondoperps.xyz`
- URL: `https://api.ondoperps.xyz/v1/auth/erc-4361/address_book/get_challenge`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `ONDO-KEY-ID`

Get a Sign-In with Ethereum challenge for adding a withdrawal address.

## Request body

- AddressBookGetChallengeRequest
  - `walletAddress` string, required: The wallet address requesting to add a withdrawal address
  - `chainId` '1' | '43114', required: EVM chain ID (1=Ethereum, 43114=Avalanche)
  - `withdrawalAddress` string, required: The address to add to the withdrawal address book

## Response `200`

Challenge for signing

- object
  - `success` boolean, required: Whether the request was successful
  - `error` string: Error message, present only on failure
  - `error_code` string: Semantic error code. See each endpoint's error responses for the specific codes it can return.
  - `deprecated` string: Deprecation notice, if applicable
  - `result` AuthChallengeResult
    - `id` string, required: Challenge ID
    - `message` string, required: Message to be signed by the wallet

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication required. Provide a valid JWT or API key.
- `403`: Access denied. The authenticated account does not have permission.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Slow down request frequency.
- `500`: Internal server error.
