# Delete a video

`DELETE /videos/{video_id}`

## Request

Permanently delete a completed or failed video and its stored assets.

## Path parameters

- `video_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Success

- DeletedVideoResource: Confirmation payload returned after deleting a video.
  - `object` 'video.deleted', required: The object type that signals the deletion response.
  - `deleted` boolean, required: Indicates that the video resource was deleted.
  - `id` string, required: Identifier of the deleted video.

## Other responses

- `400`: The video is still being processed, the request is invalid, or the organization does not support video generation.
- `404`: The video was not found or is not accessible, or the Videos API is unavailable.
- `500`: The video or its stored media could not be deleted.
