# Reject call

`POST /realtime/calls/{call_id}/reject`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.openai.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.openai.com/v1/realtime/calls/{call_id}/reject`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Decline an incoming SIP call by returning a SIP status code to the caller.

## Path parameters

- `call_id` string, required

## Request body

- RealtimeCallRejectRequest: Parameters used to decline an incoming SIP call handled by the Realtime API.
  - `status_code` integer: SIP response code to send back to the caller. Defaults to `603` (Decline) when omitted.

## Response `200`

Call rejected successfully.

## Other responses

- `404`: The session or call was not found or is unavailable for this operation.
- `409`: The session or call can no longer accept this operation.
- `500`: An internal error occurred. The response body is plain text.
