# Unassign project role from group

`DELETE /projects/{project_id}/groups/{group_id}/roles/{role_id}`

Unassigns a project role from a group within a project.

## Path parameters

- `project_id` string, required
- `group_id` string, required
- `role_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Project role unassigned from the group successfully.

- DeletedRoleAssignmentResource: Confirmation payload returned after unassigning a role.
  - `object` string, required: Identifier for the deleted assignment, such as `group.role.deleted` or `user.role.deleted`.
  - `deleted` boolean, required: Whether the assignment was removed.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request parameters are invalid or the requested operation cannot be performed.
- `403`: The caller does not have permission to perform this operation.
- `404`: The endpoint is unavailable or a requested resource was not found in this organization or project.
- `429`: The request was rejected because a rate limit was exceeded.
