# Add group user

`POST /organization/groups/{group_id}/users`

## Request

Adds a user to a group.

## Path parameters

- `group_id` string, required

## Request body

- CreateGroupUserBody: Request payload for adding a user to a group.
  - `user_id` string, required: Identifier of the user to add to the group.

## Response `200`

User added to the group successfully.

- GroupUserAssignment: Confirmation payload returned after adding a user to a group.
  - `object` 'group.user', required: Always `group.user`.
  - `user_id` string, required: Identifier of the user that was added.
  - `group_id` string, required: Identifier of the group the user was added to.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request contains invalid parameters or an invalid body.
- `403`: The caller lacks the required permissions or is not using an admin API key.
- `404`: The group or user was not found in the organization, or this endpoint is unavailable.
- `409`: The request conflicts with the current state of the group.
- `429`: The request was rejected because a rate limit was exceeded.
