# Update group

`POST /organization/groups/{group_id}`

## Request

Updates a group's information.

## Path parameters

- `group_id` string, required

## Request body

- UpdateGroupBody: Request payload for updating the details of an existing group.
  - `name` string, required: New display name for the group.

## Response `200`

Group updated successfully.

- GroupResourceWithSuccess: Response returned after updating a group.
  - `id` string, required: Identifier for the group.
  - `name` string, required: Updated display name for the group.
  - `created_at` integer, required: Unix timestamp (in seconds) when the group was created.
  - `is_scim_managed` boolean, required: Whether the group is managed through SCIM and controlled by your identity provider.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request parameters are invalid or the requested operation cannot be performed.
- `403`: The caller does not have permission to perform this operation.
- `404`: The endpoint is unavailable or a requested group, user, or project was not found.
- `429`: The request was rejected because a rate limit was exceeded.
- `500`: The group operation could not be completed because of a server error.
