# Delete group

`DELETE /organization/groups/{group_id}`

Deletes a group from the organization.

## Path parameters

- `group_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Group deleted successfully.

- GroupDeletedResource: Confirmation payload returned after deleting a group.
  - `object` 'group.deleted', required: Always `group.deleted`.
  - `id` string, required: Identifier of the deleted group.
  - `deleted` boolean, required: Whether the group was deleted.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request parameters are invalid or the requested operation cannot be performed.
- `403`: The caller does not have permission to perform this operation.
- `404`: The endpoint is unavailable.
- `429`: The request was rejected because a rate limit was exceeded.
