# List product categories

`GET /product-categories`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.omnisend.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.omnisend.com/api/product-categories`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2
    - Client credentials
    - Token URL: `https://app.omnisend.com/oauth2/token` scopes: `products.read`
  - API key in header `Authorization`

List products categories

**Scopes:**
`products.read`

**Rate Limiting:**
This endpoint is rate limited to 400 requests per minute.

List of product categories

- GetCategoriesResponse: Response containing a paginated list of product categories
  - `categories` CategoryListItem[]: List of product categories
    - `categoryID` string: Product category unique identifier (read-only)
    - `createdAt` string: Product category creation timestamp (read-only)
    - `title` string: Product category name
    - `updatedAt` string: Product category last update timestamp (read-only)
  - `paging` Paging: Pagination metadata for list responses
    - `limit` integer: Number of items per page. Range: 1-250. Default: 100
    - `next` string: URL to the next page of results
    - `offset` integer: Current page offset
    - `previous` string: URL to the previous page of results

## Other responses

- `400`: Request contains invalid or missing fields
- `401`: Authentication is missing or invalid
- `403`: Insufficient permissions for this operation
- `410`: API version has been retired
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Unexpected error occurred
