# Get folder

`GET /v1/folders/{folderId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://blobsrus.omniapp.co/api`
- URL: `https://blobsrus.omniapp.co/api/v1/folders/{folderId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Retrieve a single folder by its ID. Owner and permission information is returned separately by the [Get folder permissions](/api/folder-permissions/get-folder-permissions) endpoint.

The calling user must have access to the specified folder or the API will return an error.

- `folderId` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `userId` string, uuid

## Response `200`

The requested folder

- object
  - `id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier for the folder
  - `name` string, required: Display name of the folder
  - `path` string, required: Full path to the folder, including parent folders
  - `url` string, required: URL to view the folder in Omni
  - `breadcrumbRoot` boolean, required: Whether breadcrumbs for content in this folder start here
  - `labels` string[], required: Labels applied to the folder

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request Possible error messages: - `folderId` is not a valid UUID - `userId` is not a valid UUID
- `401`: Authentication required
- `403`: Forbidden Possible error messages: - A personal access token named a `userId` other than its own
- `404`: Not Found Possible error messages: - `Folder with id <folderId> does not exist` - Also returned when the folder exists but the caller, or the user named by `userId`, cannot view it - `userId` does not match a member of the organization
- `429`: Too Many Requests - Rate limit exceeded (60 requests/minute)
