# Create Thread Goal

`POST /api/processes/{process_id}/threads/{session_id}/goal`

Create / replace the goal for a thread. Body: `{objective: str,
token_budget?: int}`. Returns the persisted goal. 409 when the
target process is offline (mobile UI greys the action button).
