# Unlock User

`POST /api/v1/users/{userId}/lifecycle/unlock`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://your-subdomain.okta.com`
- URL: `https://your-subdomain.okta.com/api/v1/users/{userId}/lifecycle/unlock`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Unlocks a user with a `LOCKED_OUT` status and returns them to `ACTIVE` status.  Users will be able to login with their current password.

## Path parameters

- `userId` string, required
