# Delete a watch and its resources

`DELETE /api/v1/watches/{watchId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://offnadir-delta.com`
- URL: `https://offnadir-delta.com/api/v1/watches/{watchId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Free. Deletes the watch AND its underlying resources: bound monitored areas (with their measurement history) and standing orders are removed. An event watch has no underlying resource; only the watch is removed. To stop without losing anything, PATCH status to "paused" instead.
