# One location and what has happened there

`GET /api/v1/entities/{entityId}`

## Request

1 token. Returns the registry record plus the most recent events linked to it (up to 50; `event_count` is the total and `events_24h` the last day). Every link states HOW it was established in `link_kind`: `named_location` (a report named this place as where it happened), `named_target` (a report named it as the target), `named_subject` (a report that was not about a physical event — a statement, a market move, an explainer — named it only as its subject), `measured` (a satellite measurement was recorded near it, and `distance_m` says how far — it states what was measured, not what happened) or `proximity` (the event was located within range, and `distance_m` says how far); `link_basis` carries the raw basis. Proximity is an association, not a statement that the event happened at the facility — read the basis before quoting a link. Also returns how many Analyst claims mention the entity. For the straits and canals where ship transits are measured (28 places), `transit` adds the recent levels as an index: the 7-day average with the usual level set to 100 (`index`), the change against usual (`change`), the same index for tankers alone (`tanker_index`), whether it is within its usual range (`status`), and `revised` when the underlying figure changed after it was first recorded. Ship counts are not returned — the index is a measure computed by this product. It covers container, dry bulk, general cargo, ro-ro and tanker ships. The numbers need a plan with the full event detail (`transit.withheld` says when they are withheld); the status is returned on every plan.
