# Replace manufacturer

`PUT /v1/manufacturers`

## Request

company's enabled brand set; new_names creates custom brands (web
"new-brand" parity) and enables them in the same call.

## Request body

- object
  - `ids` string[], required: The complete set of manufacturer IDs that stay active. Anything absent is deactivated. Must not be empty.
  - `new_names` string[]: Manufacturer names not in the catalog, created on the fly and added to the active set. 2-60 characters each.

## Other responses

- `400`: Request body is unparseable or X-API-Version is missing.
- `401`: Missing, malformed, expired, or wrong-audience bearer token.
- `402`: The company has no active subscription, or its plan does not include API access. API access is included in the Business and Illimitato plans.
- `403`: The authenticated user lacks the required permission.
- `422`: A request field is missing or invalid (fast-fail).
- `500`: Unhandled server error. Detail is logged, not exposed.
