# Get all population types relevant to Census

`GET /population-types`

## Request

- Base URL: `/v1` (relative, and the document’s source URL is not known)
- URL: `/v1/population-types`
- Auth: API key in header `internal-token`

Retrieves a list of population types for Census

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer
- `offset` integer

## Response `200`

Json object containing a list of population types for Census

- GetPopulationTypesResponse: The response body containing all available population-types for Census 2021
  - `count` integer: The number of population-types
  - `items` PopulationType[]: An array of population-types
    - `name` string: The name of the population type
    - `label` string: The label of the population type
    - `description` string: The description of the population type
  - `limit` integer: The number of population-type requested
  - `offset` integer: The first row of population-types to retrieve, starting at 0. Use this parameter as a pagination mechanism along with the limit parameter
  - `total_count` integer: The total number of population-types

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorised to fetch
- `500`: Failed to process the request due to an internal error
