# Change the password of a respondent

`PUT /respondents/change_password`

Change the password of a respondent, and set their account to ACTIVE and enrolement to ENABLED if not currently

## Request body

- object
  - `email_address` string, email: The email address of the respondent
  - `new_password` string: The password to change to

## Response `200`

The password has been changed

## Other responses

- `400`: The request body was missing new_password
- `404`: The respondent does not exist
- `500`: There was an error in the auth service
