# Send content to be added to the publish transaction

`POST /publish`

## Request

- Base URL: `/v1` (relative, and the document’s source URL is not known)
- URL: `/v1/publish`
- Auth: none declared

Files sent will be added to transaction but will not actually be published on to the public website until the transaction is committed. Several files can be added to a transaction by calling this endpoint multiple times with the each file to be published. Alternatively several files can be sent at once but using the query param zip=true.

## Query parameters

- `transactionId` string, required
- `zip` boolean

## Request body `multipart/form-data`

  - `content` string, binary: The content to be published

## Response `200`

content sucessfully added to the publish transaction

  - `message` string: message about the request result
  - `error` boolean: indicates if the request was successful
  - `transaction` object
    - `id` string: the created transaction ID
    - `status` string: the current status of the transaction
    - `startDate` string: the date the transaction of created
    - `uriInfos` string[]: URI information for this transaction
    - `uriDeletes` string[]: URI delete information for this transaction
    - `errors` string[]: error information for this transaction

## Other responses

- `400`: bad request
- `500`: internal server error
