# List Event Categories

`GET /spaces/{spaceIdentifier}/events/categories`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://demo.octopus.app/api`
- URL: `https://demo.octopus.app/api/spaces/{spaceIdentifier}/events/categories`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-Octopus-ApiKey`
  - API key in query parameter `ApiKey`
  - API key in header `X-NuGet-ApiKey`

## Path parameters

- `spaceIdentifier` string, required

## Query parameters

- `appliesTo` string

## Response `200`

The requested Event Categories

- EventCategoryResource[]
  - `Id` string: The ID of the Event Category
  - `Links` object: The Links property is not set but exists for backwards compatibility
  - `Name` string: The display name of the Event Category

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request. Either the payload was not structurally valid or business rules did not permit the operation.
- `404`: Not found. One or more of the entities involved in the operation was not found.
