# Get the account types this Octopus Server supports

`GET /accounttypes`

Lists the account types contributed by the extensions installed on this Server, sorted by name.

## Response `200`

The account types this Octopus Server supports

- GetAccountTypesResponse
  - `AccountTypes` string[], required — The supported account types, sorted by name. Each value is what an Account's AccountType is set to, and what the AccountType filter when listing accounts accepts.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request. Either the payload was not structurally valid or business rules did not permit the operation.
- `404` — Not found. One or more of the entities involved in the operation was not found.
