# Get a theme

`GET /api/public/themes`

Returns a full design-system theme. Use query params to get a random theme, filter by platform, or fetch by id.

## Query parameters

- `random` boolean
- `platform` 'desktop-web' | 'mobile-app' | 'game'
- `id` string

## Response `200`

Theme object with full content.

- Theme
  - `id` string, required: Theme slug id
  - `name` string, required
  - `platform` 'desktop-web' | 'mobile-app' | 'game', required
  - `content` string: Prompt-ready markdown (70–100 lines) describing palette, typography, components, effects, animations, non-genericness rules.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters.
- `404`: The requested theme id was not found (only when ?id= is set).
- `405`: Only GET and OPTIONS are supported.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
