# Check one email address, free

`POST /v1/tools/verify-email`

## Request

The free email verifier on nvoke.run/tools. Syntax, disposable domains, MX records and, while the small free probe budget lasts, the mail server itself (`depth: mailbox`). Past that budget it answers from syntax and DNS (`depth: domain`). Rate limited per IP and per day. For volume, use a search of kind `domains` with an API key.

## Other responses

- `4XX`: `invalid_request`: The body or query failed validation. `details` lists the problems. `rate_limited`: Too many requests of this kind from this account or client. Try again later. `captcha_failed`: The Turnstile token was missing or did not pass. Solve the challenge again.
