# Delete prompt (soft)

`DELETE /api/v1/prompts/{promptH}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://numonic.ai`
- URL: `https://numonic.ai/api/v1/prompts/{promptH}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Soft-delete a prompt by setting `is_active=false`. The prompt remains in the database but is excluded from search results and listings.

## Path parameters

- `promptH` string, required: Prompt SHA-1 hash identifier

## Response `200`

Prompt soft-deleted

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Prompt not found
