# Execute ad-hoc pipeline

`POST /api/v1/pipelines/execute`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://numonic.ai`

Execute an ad-hoc pipeline from a JSON stage definition without saving it. Stages run in order: select → filter → transform/action → output. Use `dry_run: true` to preview results without making changes.

## Request body

- ExecutePipelineRequest
  - `stages` object[], required: Pipeline stage definitions for ad-hoc execution
    - `type` string, required
  - `dry_run` boolean: Preview results without applying changes
  - `timeout_ms` integer

## Response `200`

Pipeline execution started
