# Publish a collection

`POST /api/v1/collections/{collectionH}/publish`

## Request

Publish a collection as a public gallery with privacy-aware metadata handling. Choose a disclosure preset to control what metadata is exposed: `share` (full), `portfolio` (creative only), `client` (minimal), or `archive` (original preserved). Creates stable public URLs for all collection assets.

## Path parameters

- `collectionH` string, required: Collection hash (40-char hex SHA-1)

## Request body

- PublishCollectionRequest: Request body for publishing a collection with privacy preset, visibility tier, and optimization preset
  - `privacyPreset` 'share' | 'portfolio' | 'client' | 'archive': Privacy preset controlling which metadata is included when publishing or exporting: share (full), portfolio (creative only), client (minimal), archive (original preserved)
  - `visibility` 'public' | 'unlisted' | 'private': Reachability/listing tier for a published collection (ORTHOGONAL to privacyPreset): public (listed + slug + hash), unlisted (hash-only, never listed), private (not publicly reachable)
  - `publishPreset` 'web-standard' | 'high-quality' | 'thumbnail': Image optimization preset applied during collection publish
