# Add asset to collection

`POST /api/v1/collections/{collectionH}/assets`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://numonic.ai`

Add an asset to a collection with optional position and role.

## Path parameters

- `collectionH` string, required: Collection hash (40-char hex SHA-1)

## Request body

- AddAssetToCollectionRequest: Request body for adding an asset to a collection
  - `assetH` string, required
  - `position` integer
  - `role` string

## Response `201`

Asset added to collection

- SuccessMessage
  - `message` string, required: Human-readable success message

## Other responses

- `404`: Collection or asset not found
- `409`: Asset already in collection
