# Generate C2PA manifest

`POST /api/v1/assets/{assetH}/c2pa`

## Request

Request generation of a C2PA content provenance manifest for an asset. Numonic's schema is architected for C2PA compliance — manifests capture the asset's provenance chain including generation tool, parameters, and edit history.

## Path parameters

- `assetH` string, required: Asset hash (40-char hex SHA-1)

## Request body

- C2paDetectRequest
  - `record_source` string: Source of the detection request

## Response `201`

C2PA manifest generated
