# Read execution state

`GET /workflows/executions/{id}/state`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.nullplatform.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns a live state snapshot: per-step outputs, current steps, pending signal waits, variables, and run metadata. Queried live while the execution runs; rebuilt from storage afterwards.

## Other responses

- `4XX`: Client error. The body says what went wrong: an error `type`, a human-readable `detail`, and, on validation failures, one entry per offending field.
