# Send a signal to an execution

`POST /workflows/executions/{id}/signals/{name}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.nullplatform.com`
- URL: `https://api.nullplatform.com/workflows/executions/{id}/signals/{name}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delivers a signal to an execution waiting on it. The request body is passed through verbatim as the signal payload. Returns 409 when the execution is not waiting on that signal.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required
- `name` string, required

## Request body

- object: Arbitrary JSON, delivered as the signal payload.

## Response `200`

The signal was delivered.

## Other responses

- `4XX`: Client error. The body says what went wrong: an error `type`, a human-readable `detail`, and, on validation failures, one entry per offending field.
- `5XX`: Unexpected server error.
