# Delete a package

`DELETE /packages/{id}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Soft-delete a package. Its revisions are retained, so a service that points at one of them keeps resolving its bill of materials.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

The package was deleted.

## Other responses

- `4XX`: Client error responses due to invalid input, missing parameters or insufficient permissions.
- `5XX`: Server error responses.
