# States Api

`GET /v1/states`

## Request

Coverage per German state (Land): statutes and decisions held, and the binding
gazette.

`states` holds one row per Land, with `laws`, `decisions`, and `fulltext` — whether
this Land's statutes are held in full text. The Länder where they are also carry
`gazette` (the binding Gesetz- und Verordnungsblatt) and `official_documentation`;
for the others those keys are absent, because we consolidate nothing there and
naming a gazette we do not read would be an invented claim.

Every number comes from the corpus itself, so this endpoint cannot go stale against
the thing it describes.

Deprecated keys: `laender` and `fulltext_laender` carry the same values as `states`
and `fulltext_states` and are kept only for callers written against the old names.
