# GET /topics

`GET /topics`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://developer.nps.gov/api/v1`
- URL: `https://developer.nps.gov/api/v1/topics`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in query parameter `api_key`
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Returns National Park Service topics, with optional filters for topic IDs or a search term.

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer
- `start` integer
- `sort` string

## Response `200`

    - `id` string: Unique identifier for the topic record
    - `name` string: Name of the topic
