# GET /alerts

`GET /alerts`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://developer.nps.gov/api/v1`
- URL: `https://developer.nps.gov/api/v1/alerts`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in query parameter `api_key`
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Returns park alerts, with optional filters for park codes, state codes, or a search term.

    - `category` 'Danger' | 'Caution' | 'Information' | 'Park Closure': Alert type: Danger, Caution, Information, or Park Closure
    - `description` string: Alert description
    - `id` string: Unique identifier for an alert record
    - `parkCode` string: A variable width character code that uniquely identifies a specific park
    - `title` string: Alert title
    - `url` string: Link to more information about the alert, if available
    - `lastIndexedDate` string: date/time stamp of when this alert was last indexed
    - `relatedRoadEvents` object[]: more information about a road event related to this alert (if any)
      - `title` string: title of this related road event
      - `id` string: UUID for this related road event
      - `type` string: what type of related road event is this
      - `url` string: URL for more information about this related road event
  - `limit` string
  - `start` string
