# Update an environment

`PUT /v1/environments/{environmentId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.notifly.io`
- URL: `https://api.notifly.io/v1/environments/{environmentId}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Update an environment by its unique identifier **environmentId**. 
    You can modify the environment name, identifier, color, and other configuration settings.

    - `slug` string: URL-friendly slug for the environment

- `414`: URI Too Long
- `415`: Unsupported Media Type

- `429`: The client has sent too many requests in a given amount of time.
- `500`: Internal Server Error
- `503`: The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overload or scheduled maintenance, which will likely be alleviated after some delay.
